ASi Networks, Inc. would like to share several of our recent success stories, including several CISCO business phone system deployments (referred to as Unified Communications).

In October, we installed a phone system with 90+ phones at Joni and Friends International Disability Center (JAF) in Agoura Hills, California. JAF was using an old Nortel PBX system which could no longer serve their needs in the rapidly changing world of voice and data technology. ASi deployed a new CISCO system utilizing VoIP technology that ran off a new CME router and CISCO switches. JAF’s employees now enjoy the use of many great features offered by CISCO’s unified communications and the strength of new CISCO network infrastructure. For more information on this deployment please reach out to us on this blog or call 800-251-1336. Joni and Friends is a faith based charitable organization that assists people with disabilities throughout the world. For more information on JAF, you can visit their website at www.joniandfriends.org.

In November, ASi provided an end-to-end solution at Nevada Freight Consolidators located in Pomona, California. Nevada Freight was in need of all new voice, data and cabling infrastructure and ASi was able to bring all of that to the table. We deployed a CISCO UC540 phone system with 10 IP phones. In addition, we deployed all new HP desktop PC’s, an HP server, set up email server exchange, and installed new backbone infrastructure with CISCO switches, router, and wireless. Finally, we installed new low voltage cabling to serve their entire network. Nevada Freight specializes in LTL and TL freight shipments throughout the US.

ASi recently conducted an IT audit and health check of a food distribution service company located in Fontana, California. With our team of experienced network engineers, ASi discovered that this firm was operating without a firewall and anti-virus on a segmented network with no VLANS. ASI took immediate action to correct these issues. We have since welcomed this firm to our lengthy list of “Network Support Plus” customers. “Network Support Plus” is ASi’s outsourced IT service and managed service program offering on-site and remote IT support, emergency support, and an array of cloud services. Network Support Plus can be provided on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis depending on a customer’s size and needs.

ASi has enjoyed a hugely successful 2011 and we look forward to reporting more success stories in 2012. As we near the end of the year and approach the holiday season, we wish everyone Happy Holiday Greetings and a joyful and prosperous New Year.

In today’s ever-changing and dynamic world of IT, outsourcing your IT needs to a managed service provider, like ASi Networks, has measurable competitive advantages.

If you are an IT manager or CIO, ask yourself these questions:

How much of your time is spent on performing basic day to day network tasks?

How much of you day is spent managing your IT staff rather than planning for your company’s IT future?

Would it be advantageous to tap into the pool of expertise offered by a team of network engineers?

If you had more time, would your company and network benefit?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then an outsourced IT company may provide you with a competitive advantage.

Rather than hiring an in-house IT staff, it is important to realize that outsourcing your IT needs reduces costs. The cost of an internal IT staff generally costs 25% or more than outsourcing. In addition, maintaining an IT staff requires extensive investment in employee training and development, such as IT certifications and hardware. Professional outsource IT firms spend thousands of dollars a year on IT training, and necessary hardware and software needs. Thus, by outsourcing, your company or organization can realize greater ROI by leveraging the expertise and knowhow of a large IT staff, rather than depending on the limited knowledge of 1 or 2 IT employees. Simply stated, outsourcing your IT needs, frees up more capital and time for you to concentrate on growing your business.

ASi offers years of experience providing IT support and managed services to the Southern California business community. Contact us today to discuss how ASi’s outsourced IT services team can benefit your organization, and help you reduce costs.
